Welcome to our new Reception Classes

We are so proud of how our Reception children have settled in to school. They all look so very smart in their new school uniform and their P.E. kits! We follow the EYFS curriculum, building on children’s knowledge and skills from their Nursery journey. We learn through a wide range of play-based, active learning opportunities in our indoor and outdoor classrooms.
There are lots of opportunities to read in school. It is a pleasure to see so many children sharing stories or getting cosy in our reading corners. Our listening station is very popular and children have been using the headphones carefully to listen to a story!
We have been talking about ‘our fantastic families’.  The children have enjoyed listening to each other talk about their family photographs, which are now on display in our classroom.
