Health For Life

Achieving the Health for Life Award is a significant milestone for our school, showcasing our dedication to promoting healthy lifestyles among students and the wider community. This prestigious award is part of the Health for Life programme, which encourages schools to focus on three key areas: healthy eating and cooking, growing food, and physical activity.

Our journey towards this achievement involved hosting parent and child cooking and gardening workshops, purchasing bikes for children to use during after school clubs and transforming our allotment into a colourful, vibrant space where children actively participate in growing vegetables and learning about sustainable food practices.

The programme, funded by Mondelēz International and delivered in partnership with Services for Education, provided us with the resources and support needed to implement these initiatives effectively. Our efforts have not only equipped students with valuable life skills but also fostered a positive attitude towards health and wellness.

Receiving the Health for Life Award is a testament to the hard work and collaboration of our teachers, students, and families. It highlights our commitment to creating a healthier future and serves as an inspiration for other schools to follow suit. We are proud of this accomplishment and look forward to continuing our efforts in promoting a healthy lifestyle for all.
