School Development Plan

SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT PRIORITIES FOR THIS YEAR

SDP Priority 1

To use the 5 levers of the recovery curriculum to ensure that all children receive the personal, social and emotional support they need to return to school following the Covid-19 pandemic.
SDP Priority 2

To implement effective classroom strategies for closing the gap in educational achievement for all children following the lockdown period through a personalised recovery curriculum.
SDP Priority 3

To ensure that teaching allows all pupils to develop their spoken language through pupil led learning to integrate new knowledge into larger areas. Develop a language rich environment that promotes active speaking and listening and understanding of key vocabulary.
SDP Priority 4

To further raise standards and accelerate progress of boys and non-disadvantaged pupils in reading from KS1 to KS2.
SDP Priority 5

Implement effective pedagogy strategies for closing the gap in educational achievement for all pupils through a personalised recovery curriculum for Maths and English. This presupposes clarity about what is to be taught by teachers and learned by pupils in a carefully sequenced curriculum.
