Evaluation of Provision

We evaluate SEND provision to ensure that it is meeting pupils’ identified needs and improving their access, participation and outcomes. Class teachers monitor support as it is delivered, while the SENCo oversees provision across the school and reviews patterns of need, progress and intervention impact. Evaluation draws on assessment information, progress towards individual outcomes, attendance, engagement, behaviour, wellbeing, pupil and family views, staff feedback and advice from external professionals. Reviews take place through the Assess, Plan, Do, Review cycle, and provision is continued, adjusted or replaced according to the evidence. School leaders also consider the effectiveness of SEND provision when planning staff development, resources and future priorities.
