EXTENDED CARE..

LOOKING AFTER THE WELLBEING OF OUR CHILDREN

At Adderley, we operate a Breakfast Club, starting at 8:00am – 8:30am, and a Late Club, running from 3:45 to 4:00pm. Only in special circumstances (agreed by the Head) can children come in to school any earlier than 8:00am or be collected later than 4:00pm. If children are permitted to come to school earlier, they must wait in the main reception where they can be supervised.

PROMOTING GOOD BEHAVIOUR..

OUR POSITIVE PUPIL POLICY

At Adderley, it is a primary aim that every member of the school community feels valued and respected, and that each person is treated fairly and well. We are a caring community, whose values are built on mutual trust and respect for all. Our school behaviour policy is therefore designed to support the way in which all members of the school can live and work together in a supportive way. It aims to promote an environment where everyone feels happy, safe and secure.

We have a number of school rules, but the primary aim of our behaviour policy is not a system to enforce rules. It is a means of promoting good relationships, so that people can work together with the common purpose of helping everyone to learn. This policy supports the community at Adderley in aiming to allow everyone to work together in an effective and considerate way.

At Adderley, we expect every member of the school community to behave in a considerate way towards others.

CHALLENGING BULLYING..

A VALUES BASED ETHOS

Everyone at Adderley Primary School has the right to feel welcome, secure and happy. Bullying of any sort prevents this from happening and our Anti-bullying policy contains guidelines to support this ethos.

Where bullying exists, the victims must feel confident to activate the anti-bullying systems within the school to end the bullying. It is our aim to challenge attitudes about bullying behaviour, increase understanding for bullied pupils and help build an anti-bullying and value based ethos in the school.

Our Vision is:
To promote a safe, secure and enjoyable learning environment for all children to achieve their full potential

Our Aims:

  • To establish a bully free school through a valued based school
  • To raise awareness of the nature and impact of bullying
  • To raise awareness of what systems are in place to deal with bullying
  • To promote a consistent and coherent approach towards identifying, challenging and responding to bullying
  • To promote the emotional resilience of children to recognise and deal more effectively with bullying in all settings
  • To encourage all settings to promote a culture of openness to deal more effectively with bullying
  • To promote the understanding that the management of bullying is the responsibility of us all
